It has begun. Swell had been in the waist to head range. Rough but ridable. But as the right coast heat comes on, the surface seems to flatten out. Today for example: Surfline simply said, "Flat, with trace ankle high waves." Nothing wild, however this past Thursday gave us some better than knee highs. Very nice night... warm with gusting off-shores... although "the Target," Mr. Walston just about got carried away by the mayflies.
We closed the session at Kirby's on 96th. Local atmosphere (that's a good thing), cold beer, good size wings, ok sauce... still no contender for Smitty's. The Heat is on...the Quest goes on.
