Eruption, from the Watt's notes.

Yo guys! Where's the social distancing? Early AM flocking, Malibu's lineup. 3/26/2020

Self-destroyer, wreck your health
Destroy your friends, destroy yourself
The time device of self-destruction
Light the fuse and start eruption, yeah
(Yeah, it goes like this, here it goes)
Paranoia, the destroyer
(Here's to paranoia)
Paranoia, the destroyer
(Hey hey, here it goes)
Paranoia, the destroyer
(And it goes like this!)

-The Kinks, Destroyer

There has been a viral eruption as of late. I will expound. When I do these blog posts, I incorporate the use of Thesaurus.com. Sometimes to get fancy. Sometimes to find a word that takes away the anxiety of the moment. This is one of those moments. Target had been indisposed over the last few weeks. Myself and LWatt were indisposed for a period during that time as well. Fortunately, we've all been on the mend. Crazy times, a world pandemic. That's right, GLOBAL. Everything has been shut down except the essentials; groceries, gas, beer, wine, liquor. Restaurants and dives have been limited to take-out. If they're open at all. Seems like the entire OC is vacant.
Social distancing is the new vogue. To decrease the spread, or flatten the curve so to speak. In short, and in the interest of safety, the Quest has been put on temporal hold. Thus, I muse. As we watch the news each night, I'm not sure what grows the fear more, the media or the politicians.
A fast-track move to paranoia.
Helloooooo...?
And toilet paper...what's with the TP shortage? We have a global viral infection...how does toilet paper calculate into this? Somebody please tell me! But I digress, again. An unprecedented situation, if we are to overcome we must be patient. Like watching for that next wave, we need to maintain composure. Wash your hands. Don't cough on your bro. Taking the drop into that next ride, we have to retain poise all the way down into the turn. Keep a level head. Minimize contact. Hands in front, do not touch your face. To be aware of what is coming next, when we can exit the drift safely, we must feel the serenity of a remedy. Keep moving, don't revert to the potato position. The next breath brings more energy. Paddle back out. Be grateful; for that last ride, for the next ride. Give... the next wave to your neighbor, a helping hand to your community. Watch out for each other while you keep your distance (at least six feet). Finally, hang on to your humor and optimism. The signs will come down. The beaches and bars will re-open. When the ocean is flat, and the world around you seems to be losing it's respect and sense of self-regard, smile...remember, we are in this together. There will always be another wave.
Waiting for the signs to come down.
