Freeze Frame, notes from The Watt

Bayside ice, 3rd St.  1/2014
Been a long January.  Temperatures have plummeted.  Utilities are up. We're not spending much time at the beach these days either.  The biggest winter issues...snow, rain, wind chills.  Keeps you in. Does not help the state of mind.  Our cure to Seasonal Affective Disorder, ie. the Winter blues:  Beer, wings and any other foodstuff that will feed the machine to overcome.

We have revised our journey back to the beginning... Smitty's. Apps du jure were the newest wing offering- Sweet Fire, a red chili sauce with honey and pineapple, and the BBQ Chicken Flat Bread Pizza.  The wings had a very good taste.  Light spice with a tad more sweet than we like.  The pizza was very good...could have use some tomato with the BBQ but still well put together.  A couple cold ones helped keep us thru the first set of the house band, The Saltwater Cowboys, though the crowd itself was pretty sparse and tame.  The beers were cold, food was good, band was fair...and more than we're used to, change is good.  Hey, more locations to add to the Journey. Proceed Sir!
THE RATINGS -
Sweet Fire Wings: B-
BBQ Chicken Flatbread: B+
Beer: C
